A growing promise: Enterprise Rent-A-Car 50 Million Tree Pledge completes its second year
Enterprise began fiscal year 2007 by kicking off its celebration of 50 years in business with the Enterprise Rent-A-Car 50 Million Tree Pledge. First Lady Laura Bush ceremoniously planted the first tree in October 2006 to recognize Enterprise’s commitment to plant a million more each year for the next 50 years, a gift equivalent to $50 million in today’s dollars.

Google plugs into an Enterprising partnership
Google is giving its employees a free ride. The company announced June 18 that it has partnered with Enterprise Rent-A-Car to provide up to 100 plug-in hybrid vehicles to its employees as part of Google.org’s RechargeIT initiative to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and dependence on fossil fuels.

2007 marks our 50th anniversary. It's hard to believe how far we've come since our founder, Jack Taylor, opened our first location in St Louis, Missouri all those years ago. Since then, we've grown into an international business that operates in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland and Germany.

Today, an Enterprise branch exists within 10 miles of approximately 90 percent of the population within the United Kingdom and Ireland. Combined with the home-city focus and brand-building underway across Europe, Enterprise continues to grow home-city leisure business abroad.
