After graduating in Human Resources and Management from the University of Strathclyde I was looking for a career that would allow me to put the skills I had learned at university to good use, as well as looking for a fast-paced environment in which I could quickly progress.
I came across Enterprise whilst searching for graduate jobs and was immediately drawn to the company because of the various awards won over the past 10 years. After completing some research for the role I was certain this was the career for me – the chance to run my own business and develop my own team and having fun whilst doing so!
My first 10 months as a Graduate Management Trainee was spent between our Glasgow Airport and Glasgow City Centre locations before being promoted back into Glasgow Airport as an Assistant Manager – this role allowed me to develop my customer service and sales skills as well as developing my leadership skills. After 18 months I was promoted to Branch Manager of our Hamilton location which furthered my knowledge again in running my own business successfully and helping to develop others in their own careers.
When the opportunity arose to join the recruitment team I decided to take a step out of daily rental and develop my skill set further by learning to attract and retain the best talent for the Scotland and Northern Ireland Group.
